I wonder why Rush is sometime so cynical.... I have always think the job of a politician is to stand for ideals and principles he promised he will keep when he campaigned to get elected. Should something big and new (such as a crisis) show up, he or she would campaign to inform and then manage through as many networks as possible to find out what his constituency wish for that special cause.
Think I got at last what Bill meant with tonight's word, dunderhead.

They should....(include Veterans) to find out, if you can, check on what happened in the UK for some folks back from Irak... some had and have to move, some have had a real bad time depending where they used to live prior to go on duty. I read some dreadful stories in UK papers. If some population numbers are to grow, you may need that.
Understand American Politics :
I'm doing my best and I do try to help Jonathan but it is definitly getting harder and more complexe than ever. This week with the release of the memos we have learned that the so called "Bush Administration" which is for me and others, I'm trying to make it clear for everyone, because for some the "Bush Administration" means in fact the previous US Government officials and Secretaries appointed according to the law by the President. Now we have make sure we all understand the same thing....right... ok... so now we have learned this week was I saying, that the "Bush Administration" have I heard, has run a "torture program" on, it seems when reading the memos, some US Security agencies personnel, it seems, to gather information on the US Security Agencies in an attempt to be able to inform the Congress of the full extent of the CIA activities. It is pretty unusual but legitimate to make sure Congress is fully informed of the Agencies activities.
Do I have you full attention? I mean do you get it?
Alright, now to make sure everyone understand what we are talking about it was asked that the Pentagon releases some pictures of the information gathering techniques used on Security Agencies personnel studying the matter when they did undergo as a training the interogation techniques the Gov was using on them to gather information on their activities to inform the Congress about their activities.
I think it's now clear... I'm trying to do that for Glenn. Ok, so show some patience, it's nothing easy when you're like me....
Alright.
Now, we know the "Bush Administration", run a "torture program" on Security Agencies staff to be able to inform the Congress of the CIA activities and interogation techniques used on Gitmo detainees that didn't volunteer to undergo the interogation techniques, the Security Agencies staff volunteered for when undergoing the training program provided when the previous Government did run the questionable program to gather information over the Security Agencies interogation techniques in an attempt to inform the Congress. We also know that the Congress was informed of the training program used on Security Agencies personnel when the program to gather information over the Security Agencies activities took place. We now have the Congress knowing that the Agencies personnel volunteered to undergo some harsh interogation techniques when the previous government decided to use these methods to find out what exactely the Agencies were doing, we also know the same techniques were used on 2 (may be) Gitmo detainees, infirmation, the interogation techniques used on US personnel have allowed to reveal, it seems, it does also appear, reading the memos that the Gitmo detainees didn't volunteer to undergo the training the Security Agencies staff had agreed to undergo when the Government decided to run these harsh interogation techniques to find out what the agencies might be doing and wanted to inform the Congress of the full extent of the agencies activies. Quite obvious.
We now have the information, the interogation techniques used on Security Agencies staff have allowed to find out that Gitmo detainees did not volunteer to undergo the training.
Has Congress be informed when briefed on the harsh interogation techniques that the detainees may not volunteer?

It should fix some of the dispute? Page 4
Because of the use of these procedures in training our own military personnel to resist interrogations, you have consulted with various individuals who have extensive experience in the use of these techniques. You have done so in order to ensure that no prolonged mental harm would result from the use of these proposed procedures.
Through your consultation with various individuals responsible for such training, you have learned that these teclmiques have been used as elements of a course of conduct without any reported of prolonged mental harm........ of the SERE school. .............. has reported that, during the seven year period that he spent in those positions, there were two requests from Congress for information concerning alleged injuries resulting from the training.

If somehow this issue is pushed hard enough and that groups such as moveon get it their way, they hope that the shame thrown on a US Gov getting an international audience for a trial on "torture" will be made permanent and can be used as a rethoric tool for a very long time to disqualify any leadership from a US Gov desagreeing with the future "world governance". They see it as a necessary step on the path to establish a non democratic "world leadership" as they have evaluated their most important barrier down that way is the US, because of the Bill of Rights, the Constitution and the spirit about liberty that goes with it.
Winning that battle is the moral victory they need to be able on a rethoric point of view to silence any leadership in the future from the people ready to defend, whatever it make take, its form of government, constitution and liberty.
With that tool in hand, they think they open the door to go ahead and campaign for some other project they have about the Union and its legal and institutional organisation opening the door for a "world gov" with some suprapower.
They see it as the lethal weapon they need against anyone standing in the future for national pride. It doesn't have to be accurate, they just need the assertion to go on far enough to make people doubt, and they will be silenced if they can be ashamed.
And you know what, it may work.

I learned that sometimes the President watches cable TV. I don't know if Bloomberg Taking Stock (Pimm) does some podcast but Doug was invited and had some interesting thing to say about Municipal bonds, how is financed the tax credit going to the issuers and the overall cost of the spread between tax exempt bonds and taxable bonds. Worth listening to.

Do you know 15 of these dead horses are gone to my hometown Kissimmee for exams to find out what happened?
Roland!! Be good! It's one thing to say these techniques can give some questionable results, it's another to say they have been "tortured".... nazis tortured, kmers tortured and quite a few others throughout history, but these were scared their head off.... is it right? Is war right? But they were not tortured.

I will have to find out why when I listen to Gov Perry speaking about the legimate concern many Americans have and have had in the past, not just following President Obama's election, about what if, we, one day reach a majority to end the Fouding Fathers project, what if, one day a majority favors a change of regime, a more oppressive central government, as an example. To prevent that to happen, with the Bill of Rights, the choice of a Federation to preserve each state constitution, the Supreme Court, the Branches, the Founding Fathers have made it very difficult to happen, though, what if?
When Gov Perry voices that concern, once more not new, as it has been, is and will be possible and explain why the Fouding Fathers took all these steps to prevent it, when do you decide, based on and what do you do if a majority one day decides to end the individual liberty and responsability system? for a StateWhen is it justified for a State to say the Founding Fathers project is endangered enough to take this extreme step?
Anyway, why when Gov Perry voices a popular and, looking at it, a healthy answer from the People, "Let's leave and save our State", I understand that the legitimate debate which is not about Texas leaving the Union but is when has Texas the right to discuss that issue should the Fouding Fathers project be endangered, Geraldo understands Gov Perry has joined the "lunatics" (have the secession has a second nature)?
Did I misunderstood or Geraldo did?
Second.
Geraldo adds, soon anyway the debate won't even take place as the majority is about to change in the State.
Does that mean Geraldo thinks the future majority isn't American spirited enough to consider legitimate the use of any means in the debate to fight any narrowing of the Fouding Fathers project of Liberty or like too many does he think the future majority is ready to give up some of it for the short term comfort of a "nanny state" should it be central? relations anbranchesfavouring "the end" oGeraldo thinks

You know it's strange sometimes how a newspaper can change I guess, the New York Times was a few years ago really kind to report the story of a jewish lady living hell as she was in a muslim building in a muslim area at a time it was impossible to get any french media to talk of any story like that. Following the article, french authorities were quick as far I know to find a solution.... and relocate the lady and her family in an appropriate area. The french authorities didn't and don't care to endanger people's life.... with their very strange policies, that article was really useful and well inspired.
I don't know why it's so different when it comes to US policies, with that story there, they can see where some inappropriate policies lead to.

If it is really of anyone concern to fight a possible "homegrown terrorism", to be honest no one better than Tea parties has the lead doing that, after all, voice the People concerns whatever they may be to never allow bitterness or frustration burry liberty was the mission the Founding Fathers wanted the 1st Amend to fulfill to keep away oppressive ideologies temptations. The first Amend has always succeeded in that matter and I think the all world will once more witness the Bill of Right's power to both give the People liberty to express their concerns or grievances, sometimes both, even if not founded, and simultaneously be the best reppellent for twisted and dirty ideologies where ever they may come from as they won't find customers kept away from answers to their anxiety, isolation and concerns.

You know what's strange about it... is if there is one country in the world you don't feel any danger from extremists is, at least was, the US, for a long time communists were not aloud to enter and I always guessed because of 1st Amend far right winger (such as nazis) never found the ground to make their case.

I know why Jack had this question today in the last hour, I was told his feelings had been hurt as he thought the right choice for the President's daughter puppy should have been an Irish Wolfhound and to tell the truth Sen Teddy offering a Portuguese Water dog has shocked Jack who expected the Irish Wolfhound to enter the White House for the first time.
Meet the Irish Wolfhound
President Obama high political sense allows Jack's dearest dream to become reality in coming years. Hope remains.

It will be interesting to see the outcome, so far, these guys went ahead with their strategy adapting the tactics as they were going down their path reaching one after one their goals, looking at it over 30 years, from the winning bet over the challenge to the Sunni clergy forcing them into a permanent bidding position pushing the most radicals, to the gain of the envied position in the region of the most anti - American regime standing strong whatsoever, I wonder what they're after now, is it now the right time to gain even more influencial power in the Muslim world by showing the capacity to reach a deal after a winning stand off over the "nuclear right" that would send one step higher any other regime in the region and in the Muslim world Tehran?
Well, don't know what Buffalo is doing.... Anyway here is the story. It's so dreadful that you can't make it up.
To start with it's a modern times tragedy. Somehow, may be job loss or... the story doesn't say much of the how but it seems that a catholic working class family ended up living in an area and a building of very fresh immigrants, a more or less no go zone you have around paris. Their little girl aged 13 at the time was raped repeatedly 3 to 4 times a week for 3 months by up to 27 or 30 boys and young men living in the building and in the area...
Horrible...
From here, it gets really weard.
It will take 8 years before a court actually sentenced any of these guys and when the court did nobody ended with any real time behind bars.... The best is still to come.... A journalist shocked by the girl's story I guess decided to find out what were the guys feelings about their victims now they were grown men. She chose the 2 guys sentenced for 1 year in jail though a time they were not going to do as the judge didn't not order the execution. The first one sent her to hell, the second guy's dad opened his door and explained that the story was now over etc... the interest thing came when he explained that the victim did get some compensation through their home insurance after the authorities explained them how to do it.
Really I mean you can't make that up... can you.
Hope Buffalo reload that dabipbip video so you can see it.
I got some great news for the trio, I don't know how I missed that.... Man... This is a product US insurance companies never thought of.... great stuff... I just found out (a bit late on that one, was out a few months ago it seems) that the paris regime insurance companies have a true special home insurance that covers your kid's crime compensations to the victims you or they may have have to pay following court's decisions as they grow up progressing in the criminal career they pursue.... I don't know yet if stock holders and others insurance policies holders agree with the product but sounds to me pretty innovative stuff. To find out more, here is the subject though it's in french but I know Glenn will love it.
The video is gone, the french state being scared the hell off but you may find something soon, or contact, a tv broadcaster named M6.

Bill M.
Thank you for applying. I have been considering to hire an agent for a while now, Ann was nice enough to do the first interview, I cannot say she was impressed..... wasn't your day maybe, have to admit sounds strange to me, I mean Ann and not your day.... May offer you another opportunity if the Trio requests it, I guess you'll have to be nice and in a way beg Bill, Glenn and Dennis to ask me to offer you that second interview for the job....
Will you be persuasive and good enough for them to do that for you? Can't wait to see that.
It's very sad to find out that a Prime Minister officially a Nato General Secretary candidate thinks Denmark's welfare model actually works troughout the EU, because it is not the case. Preoccupying, how long do you think you will be able to sustain such a system for 300 millions or 600 millions when tried on 5 millions.
France and the UK have tried...., first one is piling up debts, the UK has reduced a lot of (I'm worried for Glenn's health) social measures.
