Understand American Politics :
I'm doing my best and I do try to help Jonathan but it is definitly getting harder and more complexe than ever. This week with the release of the memos we have learned that the so called "Bush Administration" which is for me and others, I'm trying to make it clear for everyone, because for some the "Bush Administration" means in fact the previous US Government officials and Secretaries appointed according to the law by the President. Now we have make sure we all understand the same thing....right... ok... so now we have learned this week was I saying, that the "Bush Administration" have I heard, has run a "torture program" on, it seems when reading the memos, some US Security agencies personnel, it seems, to gather information on the US Security Agencies in an attempt to be able to inform the Congress of the full extent of the CIA activities. It is pretty unusual but legitimate to make sure Congress is fully informed of the Agencies activities.
Do I have you full attention? I mean do you get it?
Alright, now to make sure everyone understand what we are talking about it was asked that the Pentagon releases some pictures of the information gathering techniques used on Security Agencies personnel studying the matter when they did undergo as a training the interogation techniques the Gov was using on them to gather information on their activities to inform the Congress about their activities.
I think it's now clear... I'm trying to do that for Glenn. Ok, so show some patience, it's nothing easy when you're like me....
Alright.
Now, we know the "Bush Administration", run a "torture program" on Security Agencies staff to be able to inform the Congress of the CIA activities and interogation techniques used on Gitmo detainees that didn't volunteer to undergo the interogation techniques, the Security Agencies staff volunteered for when undergoing the training program provided when the previous Government did run the questionable program to gather information over the Security Agencies interogation techniques in an attempt to inform the Congress. We also know that the Congress was informed of the training program used on Security Agencies personnel when the program to gather information over the Security Agencies activities took place. We now have the Congress knowing that the Agencies personnel volunteered to undergo some harsh interogation techniques when the previous government decided to use these methods to find out what exactely the Agencies were doing, we also know the same techniques were used on 2 (may be) Gitmo detainees, infirmation, the interogation techniques used on US personnel have allowed to reveal, it seems, it does also appear, reading the memos that the Gitmo detainees didn't volunteer to undergo the training the Security Agencies staff had agreed to undergo when the Government decided to run these harsh interogation techniques to find out what the agencies might be doing and wanted to inform the Congress of the full extent of the agencies activies. Quite obvious.
We now have the information, the interogation techniques used on Security Agencies staff have allowed to find out that Gitmo detainees did not volunteer to undergo the training.
Has Congress be informed when briefed on the harsh interogation techniques that the detainees may not volunteer?
